Do you think you have what it takes to be whistle-worthy? If so, the Richard Kane YMCA wants to hear from you!

The Richard Kane YMCA, which manages and operates the City of Bartlesville-owned Sooner and Frontier swimming pools, is seeking approximately 50 responsible individuals to join their team as lifeguards for the 2024 summer season.

“Safety is our top priority, which is why having responsible certified lifeguards is paramount in maintaining a fun and safe environment for swimmers of all ages at the Bartlesville city-owned pools.” said YMCA Chief Executive Officer Robert Phillips.

All lifeguards employed by the YMCA must obtain or already have a valid Lifeguard Certification. The minimum age to become a lifeguard is 15 years old at the time of training. The Richard Kane YMCA does offer the required training* to the public at scheduled times. Those training offerings and additional information about lifeguarding certification can be found on their website: https://www.rkymca.org/LifeguardCPR

*Registration fees apply.

Whether you’re a seasoned lifeguard or considering it for the first time, you can apply online today at https://www.rkymca.org/careers
